ОписаниеFramed watercolour by nineteenth century marine artist Edward Tucker (senior). The piece depicts a seascape with a sailing vessel on a choppy grey sea beneath a dark cloudy sky. Brushstrokes are loose and in muted tones.
Other sailing vessels are visible in the background, along with buildings such as a church tower on land. The artist has signed his name E Tucker in the bottom left corner. Framed and glazed.
Simple modern gilt frame with some damage and visible chips. a written annotation on the reverse states the title 'Shipping in a Heavy Swell'
