ОписаниеLetter from J.M.Grayson to W.M.Bennett. Dated 4 December 1846. Letter concerns the failure of Gibbs, Bright & Co. to pay "our account against the 'Gt Western' for the voyage before last. We beg therefore to enclose you a copy in case the original has been mislaid. We hope we may augur favourably from your silence on the subject of our case, at least if the adage be true that 'no news is good'".
Grayson goes onto say he has heard a rumour that the ss Great Western is going into graving dock. He advises Bennett to move quickly to find a graving dock for the ss Great Western at Liverpool "as you are probably aware there is only one dock here large enough to admit her & that generally in great demand".
Addressed to Great Steam Ship Company, Princes Street, Bristol. Postmarked Liverpool 4 December 1846 and Bristol 5 December 1846.
