Begins with a story about his uncle Jack scaring him with a stuffed lion. 'There was a Gentleman, on the estate by the
name of Gibbs, I think he was some relation to her Ladyship...a very clever turner in Ivory, Wood, and Iron...he
also showed us the first electric machine I had then seen, he put me up on a stool and gave me a shock which I did not forget for some time after, he also darkined the large long room, and made the lightening run all round at the top of the walls'.
