Описание'Bill of Fare' from ss Great Britain, detailing the dinner of November 28th 1863- the 46th dinner of voyage 24, which is annotated in ink; collected by the cricketer Edward Mills Grace, travelling as part of the All England XI 1863/64 tour to Australia and New Zealand.
Edward Mills Grace was the elder brother of cricketer W.G. Grace and both brothers were also doctors. The Grace family were from Downend, Bristol. Grace was born in Downend and died in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire.
This menu was purchased during the Knights Sporting Auctions Ltd sale 'The Dawn of Test Cricket: The important historical collection of Edward Mills Grace, Cricketer.' specialising in early test cricket material. It was purchased alongside Grace's hand-written diary describing his journey; a photograph of Grace in his cricket whites; and a cricket ball trophy he won for wicket keeping, whilst in Australia.
