ОписаниеA small silver-gilt spoon, makes a set with a salt-cellar. The handle is decorated with a ranking floral design and the initials IKB are embossed on it. The hallmars on the reverse of the spoon indicate that it was produced by Benjamin Smith in London in 1845.
This is part of a collection of silverware consisting of three silver-gilt dessert stands, two silver-gilt sideboard dishes, and a set of six silver-gilt salt-cellars and six silver-gilt spoons. These items were presented to Isambard Kingdom Brunel at the Albion Tavern on 17 January 1845 by the Great Western Railway Company and numerous subscribers.
