-
IGKT Resources box, item 19
'In this paper we present the results of the topological analysis to which the knots excavated at Qeqertasussuk have been subjected. Globally these knots are among the first occurrences of relatively well-known knotted structures. On an Eastern Arctic scale they are the oldest known proper knots. It has been found that they represent quite an impressive repertoire. They yielded some insight in vanished baleen processing techniques and added new knowledge to cordage technological history'. Black and white drawings and diagrams. 42 stapled pages.
