Examines the knotworks of the Hilton of Cadboll stone and the Nigg stone in Scotland, which are of a circular character and consist of a recurring loop pattern named No. 295 by Allen and Anderson. A mathematical model is presented to be used when calculating the number of strands in this type of knotwork. Further, the purpose of this paper is to simplify the work when creating knotworks out of rope and to show the connection between the mathematics and the structure of the knotwork. 31 numbered bound pages [28 sheets].
