Examines the knotworks of the Hilton of Cadboll stone and the Nigg stone in Scotland, which are of a circular character and consist of a recurring loop pattern named No. 295 by Allen and Anderson. A mathematical model is presented to be used when calculating the number of strands in this type of knotwork.
