Original is in SSGB collection: 2005.003. Letter from J.W.Mottram & Son, Sheffield to Messrs J.M.Relf & Co, New Orleans, sent via the ss Great Britain. Letter gives notice of an order of goods that are due to be sent to New Orleans. Includes an invoice and schedule for payment for the goods. Dated 23 September 1845. Postmarks for Sheffield and Liverpool on 26 and 27 September 1845. States the letter is being sent 'per Great Britain'. Remains of red wax seal on letter.
