DescriptionMedal commemorating The ss Great Britain's 1845 Voyage from Bristol to London. WM medal, 44mm, manufactured by J.Davis, Birmingham. Medal is corroded on both the obverse and reverse. The medal has a small hole in the top. Obverse bears a starboard view of the vessel with an inscription about the vessel below. Reverse bears twenty-two lines of inscription declaring the expertimental voyage from Bristol to London a success. Seaby's Coin and medal Bulletin, 2210 (needs to be verified).
