TitleWooden upholstered chair
DescriptionWooden chair, upholstered. Said to be recovered from the SS Great Britain in the Falkland Islands. Upholstery textile is gold or beige fabric, embroidered. The back of the chair, the legs and the base of the seat show floral carvings.
Reputedly either original chair from the 1840s or 1850s, or was used at the banquet for the launch of the ship. There is, however, no evidence for this.
