The dockyard was leased to Jefferies and Son from 1914 for the purpose of ship repairing. The range consisted of a manager’s office and a workshop and was constructed of a red coloured brick and corrugated iron. The manager’s office was constructed entirely of red brick and built in a peculiar, asymmetrical triangle shape.
