TitleCarte de visite showing boats and ships moored in Liverpool's harbour with the New Corn Warehouse in the distance.
Creator Henry Sampson
DescriptionCarte de visite showing the New Corn Warehouse, Liverpool. On the left of the image is a ship's bowsprit, and on the right are three small vessels moored alongside each other at the harbourside, with a larger sailing vessel beyond them. More vessels are moored in the distance on the lefthand side, whilst in the centre distance is a set of large warehouse buildings, one of which is presumably the New Corn Warehouse.
On the reverse of the image are two inscriptions. In the bottom right corner is 'R £9' in pencil. Printed in the centre is 'HENRY SAMPSON', beneath that 'PHOTOGRAPHER', then beneath that 'SOUTHPORT'.
Part of a Collection of 76 photographs of various ports and maritime scenes owned by David MacGregor. The majority of these are sterescopic cards. The cards were originally kept in a red plastic synthetic photo album with plastic sleeves.
Some include descriptions of the scenes and titles while others include handwritten annotations.
