DescriptionPainting of Bristol Harbour by Harold Wyllie. Depicts a number of sailing vessels in front of the harbour, with individuals rowing smaller boats in the foreground. Signed bottom left by the artist and possibly marked 'Bristol 1850' bottom right, but the inscription is partially obscured by the frame.
Gold painted frame with slight chips and discolouration to inside corners. A sticker on the reverse of the frame reads "James Bourlet & sons LTD frame makers & packers" and is printed "Miss seth-smith" with the date "23rd May 1963"
Purchased from the artist by the donor's aunt with the condition that the painting return to a Bristol museum.
