DescriptionDavid MacGregor’s notebook containing detailed measurements, drawings, elevations, lines as well as extensive notes and details of hull and rigging of various vessels. The vessels surveyed on the Falmouth and Truro river are the ‘Emma’, the ‘One Hand’ (barge), the ‘Sunbeam’, a barge in Turnpike Creek, and the ‘J.N.R’.
The volume also includes details of the winch of a trow which lay opposite Topsham in 1961, as well as details of the ‘Shamrock’ at Purton, the ‘Lynher’ lying next to ‘Milliom Castle’, and the ‘Flossie’ surveyed at Kingswear in 1961.
At the front of the volume is a sketch of a harbour scene at Falmouth Custom House Quay, drawn by MacGregor in 1953.
