Found with a collection of David MacGregor's research notes and documents on the life of Captain Thomas Mitchell and his wife, Mary Elizabeth. This includes photocopies of the birth certificate of his son, George (b. 1865); notes concerning Mitchell and his connection to Captains George Alexander and Archibald Donald; Mitchell's death announcement and obituary in the Aberdeen Journal; research correspondence with Helen Donald; correspondence with the Meteorological Department of Board of Trade and Admiralty; and chronological grid of Mitchell's commanded voyages.
