The reverse depicts a profile of Queen Elizabeth II with a short caption which reads: ELIZABETH II D G REG F D (abbreviated Latin for: Elizabeth the Second, by the grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith). The coin is for circulation, not a proof version.
The Forth Bridge was designed by John Fowler and Benjamin Baker. It opened in 1890.
