DescriptionA small round badge showing a painting of the SS Great Eastern in profile at sea, framed by a black edge with gold interior trim. Reverse painted on glass. Above the picture of the ship are emblazoned the words "Great Eastern" in an arc. The back features a hinged pin with a catch to secure it.
The ship is depicted sailing from left to right, with six masts, four funnels and her paddle wheel. The colouring is simple, the water is a blue-grey with wrinkles of black to effect the waves. The ship is painted brown with black used to pick out details such as the sidewheel or the funnels. Each mast is topped with a red flag and the background is painted in a neutral yellow-brown.
