DescriptionA porcelain scent bottle [stopper missing], with rococo mouldings. Painted by Sophia Macnamara Hawes, sister of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, in 1848. Her initials on one side, a female figure on the other side with two small flowers painted below. Predominately painted in pink and green colours with gold trim. Signed on the base 'S.M. Hawes 1848'
Forms a set with five other pieces (2014.3791, 2014.03794, 2014.03795, 2014.03796 and 2014.03797).
