DescriptionA small brass commemorative medal depicting the Thames Tunnel on one side, with three figures walking down the tunnels, and a profile portrait of Marc Isambard Brunel on the other side, with captions. It was made to commemorate the opening of the tunnel in 1843, and is thought to have been produced by J. Taylor (William Joseph Taylor).
The medal is listed in Laurence Brown's British Historical Medals (3 volumes), number 2145.
