Mr Lloyd writes on the subject of a Lord Shrewsbury being obliged to pay double Land Tax on account of his Catholic faith.
The letter was originally catalogued when it was loose from the main album, it was subsequently reattached by Sharon Oldale, Paper Conserver (see 'Condition / Conservation' tab) - back page of the album.
Contained within an album of letters addressed to members of the Brunel and Hawes families. The letters are contained in a brown hardback album belonging to Lady Sophie Macnamara Hawes.
