Description£2 silver proof coin, commemorating the 200th birthday of Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 2006, depicting the arches of Paddington Station.
On one side is the text '2006', 'BRUNEL', and 'TWO POUNDS' with a central design of the arches of the ceiling of Paddington Station. On the reverse is a side profile of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the abbreviated Latin text 'ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF' (abbreviation of 'Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensatrix' - 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith'). On the edge is the text 'SO MANY IRONS IN THE FIRE.' The coin is still in its plastic capsule.
