Description£2 (two pound) silver proof coin commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806 to 2006), depicting Brunel and the Royal Albert Bridge.
On one side is the text 'TWO POUNDS' and '2006' above and below a central design of Isambard Kingdom Brunel in front of the Royal Albert Bridge, encircled by a chain design. On the reverse is a side profile of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the abbreviated Latin text 'ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF' (abbreviation of 'Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensatrix' - 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith'). On the edge is the text '1806-1859 Isambard Kingdom Brunel Engineer.' The coin is still in its plastic capsule.
