Description£2 silver proof coin. On one side is the text '1605 - 2005' and 'TWO POUNDS' with a central design of swords, sceptres/maces and crosiers, to represent state power against the Gunpowder Plot. These are arranged in a Catherine Wheel design, with stars either side to suggest fireworks. On the reverse is a side profile of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the abbreviated Latin text 'ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF' (abbreviation of 'Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensatrix' - 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith'). On the edge is the text 'Remember, remember the fifth of November.' The coin is still in its plastic capsule.
