DescriptionSmall metal commemorative medal. There is a decorative beaded rim on each face. The obverse depicts the Thames Tunnel with a short caption beneath. The reverse depicts a profile portrait of Marc Brunel framed by a laurel wreath, with text above and below regarding the 'publisher' of the medal, William Griffin of 7 Lombard Street, London. On the reverse, there is a hole at the top as if the medal was supposed to be pierced, but it hasn't penetrated through to the other side of the medal.
