TitleLetter from Sir Marc Isambard Brunel to Benjamin Hawes, 8 October 1833
Creator Marc Isambard Brunel (author)
DescriptionLetter from Sir Marc Isambard Brunel to his son-in-law Benjamin Hawes, dated 8 October 1833. He writes that 'Lord Althorp is in town', but will not visit again for a month, and refers to a petition which is not yet ready; Marc is disappointed about this, as 'it must now have the great Seal to gain it the authenticity of a proper Document.'
Signed 'M.I. Brunel, 8th octob. 1833'. Addressed to 'Bn Hawes Jun. Esq. M.P. Brighton' with postmarks. One sheet of paper folded; some damage (a hole and some tearing).
