Obverse has testimonial from the passengers as to the sea-worthiness of the ss Great Britain on her experimental voyage from Bristol to London, dated January 26 1845. Reverse shows starboard profile view of the ss Great Britain, below which is a list of the ship's dimensions, rooms, weight and engine capacity. Also the date of the ship's launch by HRH Prince Albert and the name of the ship's builders, the Great Western Steamship Company.
