TitleLetter from J. D. A. Samuda to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Creator J.D'A Samuda (author)
DescriptionWritten from Poplar, London. The letter explains that Samuda will only offer to complete as much work on the Great Eastern as can be done at his yard but that the depth of the river is insufficient to allow the Great Eastern to be moored at Samuda's yard and therefore he cannot do the work that is required to be done on board ship. The letter also offers advice to Brunel on his arrangements to finish the ship.
