The arrangement also allows for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's use of any tools required and that the company order John Scott Russell to make any castings or works needed for the ship as long as the smith work has been paid for by the company on a monthly basis. The arrangement also covers John Scott Russell's work on the paddle engine boilers and the paddle engine contract as well as the paddle wheels and screw propeller. The agreement also covers what should happen if John Scott Russell does not keep to the terms of the agreement. The sheet has been folded in half to create a total of four pages and the agreement extends over all four pages.
