TitleMemorandum of Mr Brunel sent with letter to Mr Russell
Creator Isambard Kingdom Brunel (author)
DescriptionWritten in Isambard Kingdom Brunel's hand, the memo instructs that "The doors from the tunnel to the ventilators must open outwards from the tunnel - into the ventilators - and toward the engine rooms at the ends". The memo also deals with the door in the bulkhead behind the screw auxiliary. The sheet has been folded in half to create a total of four pages, although the memo only covers the first two pages. A note in different ink at the top of the first page confirms that a copy of the memo has been sent to John Scott Russell. The sheet has been further folded to create a slim packet and a title and date has been written on the outside of the packet.
