ОписаниеA large oval papier mache tray depicting the ss Great Britain, dated 1843. It is largely black with a gold and black patterned rim. In the centre of the tray is a painting of the ss Great Britain at sea with 'S.S GREAT BRITAIN 1843' underneath. There are some cracks in the paint which are centred around the middle, there are also ring marks from glasses or mugs, from where it has been used for its original purpose. Some of the gold paint around the outside of the tray has been worn away. The undersaide of the tray is all black with no markings.
