Описание£2 silver proof coin, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the 1707 Act of Union between England and Scotland . On one side is the text '1707 2007' and 'TWO POUNDS' in golden panels encircling a central design in silver of two jigsaw pieces, one of a portcullis and Scottish thistle, the other of a portcullis and English rose. On the reverse is a side profile of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the abbreviated Latin text 'ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF' (abbreviation of 'Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensatrix' - 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith'). On the edge is an inscription which reads 'United into one kingdom.' The coin is still in its plastic capsule.
