    ОписаниеAn page of an inventory of the 'contents of 2 boxes in servants room', listing papers and other items previously belonging to Marc Brunel. It appears to have been compiled in November 1859. It lists a large quantity of material connected to the Thames Tunnel, including river reports, shift books, bulletins, information on position of frames, records of steamers and of soundings, visitors' names, and drawings of the river bed. Other documents that are listed include journals, some of which may be Isambard Kingdom Brunel's as well as Marc's, letters, maps, a volume on the sinking of the tunnel shaft/s, engineer's reports, and three volumes of correspondence from Vignolles. It also lists items other than paperwork, such as 'a spade bent by the irruption of the river in 1828.' The reverse of the page lists papers connected with other projects, ranging from proposals for a water works at Paris, correspondence between Marc Brunel and the French government, and documents about an experimental railway, various saw mills and canals, block machinery, docks, the Isle de Bourbon bridges, proposed necropolis for London (correspondence regarding this with Pugin), a landing place and tunnel at Liverpool, a paper machine and 'crystallised paper', marine engines, the 'Regent' steam vessel, Chester Bridge, correspondence with Russia regarding a tunnel under the Neva river, a copying machine, and a packet of Isambard's calculations.
