The front cover describes it as 'A weekly newspaper published on board the screw steam ship "Great Britain" during the passage from Melbourne to Liverpool'.
A newspaper cutting, entitled 'Heroic Conduct of a Seaman', relating the rescue of Joseph Miller by John Angus, fourth officer of SS Great Britain, has been stuck onto the first page of the booklet.
