ОписаниеPlate from the ss Great Eastern in white with gold detailing. Plate is docorated with gold paint around the rim, a gold chain link design around the edge, and a image of Britannia and a ship in the centre of the plate. Britannia is sat facing left with an anchor at her feet while the ship is under sail in the background. The image in the centre of the plate is worn and faded. On the back of the plate is a W. H. Kerr Binns & Co. manufacturers stamp. Plate measure 236mm in diamenter. Hairline cracks and a small chip mark near the image in the centre of the plate. Some loss of the paint detail to the chain link decoration. Great Ship Company Limited stamp on bottom of plate. Partial tumb print on bottom of plate.
