ОписаниеSet of plans and sections by I.K.Brunel relating to the Gloucester and Forest of Dean Railway, dated 1845. Bound together in black linen cover with gold lettering at front. Remains of paper label along spine. Has previously been stored rolled. Seems to be two sets of the same plans, '3759' and '3759A' - '3759A' at the front and has most of it's pages coloured.
In order from front cover to rear -
Sheet No.1 - Title page - gives notes, dates, scale, title. Numbered 3759A.
Sheet No.2 - Gloucester and Forest of Dean No1. Coloured plan showing parishes of Westbury on Severn, Churcham, Minsterworth; hamlets of H[?] [a]nd Linton; and city of Gloucester. Also with names of land owners. Numbered 3759A.
Sheet No.3 - Gloucester and Forest of Dean Railway No2. Coloured plan showing parishes of Awre, Newnham, Westbury upon Severn. Also with names of land owners. Numbered 3759A.
Sheet No.4 - Damaged and can't read name. Uncoloured page showing plan of route. Numbered 3759A.
Sheet No.5 - Gloucester and Forest of Dean Railway, numbered 3759A. Sheet showing coloured sections, showing Parish of Westbury upon Severn, Churcham, Minsterworth, Awre, Newnham, others. Hamlets of Highnam Over and Linton.

Sheet No.7 - Gloucester and Forest of Dean, Bilsom Branch, numbered 3759A. Uncoloured section showing Tunnel and hill. Parishes of East Dean, Lea, Little Dean, Westbury.
Sheet No.8 - Black linen cover, blank.
Sheet No.9 - Title page - gives notes, dates, scale, title, etc. Numbered 3759. Same as sheet No.1 - in better condition.
Sheet No.10 - Same as Sheet 2, but uncoloured. Numbered 3759.
Sheet No.11 - Same as Sheet 3, but uncoloured. Numbered 3759.
Sheet No.12 - Same as Sheet 4, also uncoloured. Numbered 3759.
Sheet No. 13 - Same as Sheet 5, but uncoloured. Numbered 3759.
Sheet No.14 - Same as Sheet 7, also uncoloured. Numbered 3759.
Sheet No.15 - Blank sheet with red stamp.
Stamp mark in right corner of each sheet except 6, 7, 8 : 'Great Western Railway, Engineers Office, Paddington, [then number]'.
Stamp mark on each page except Sheets 6, 7, 8, roughly centre: 'To be returned to Engineer's Plan office, G.W.R. Paddington'.
On Sheets 1-5 stamps are purple, on Sheets 9-15 stamps are red.
