This slim volume of photographs of the Butser Ancient Farm is designed to give a greater insight into its workings than can be gained from a single visit to its Demonstration Area. The overall purpose, by word and picture, is to explain the complexity and variety of the work of this enterprise. The object of the Butser Ancient Farm Project Trust is to reconstruct and operate a farm dating to about 300 B.C.
