A study of the phenomenon of knots on the Faroes, this book is an attempt to draw out larger contours in which these knots appear and to create a setting in which questions about why the knots occur in the places they do can be attempted to be settled. Apparently an early draft of the book, with many annotations and lacking indicated illustrations. Incomplete in that the contents page suggests there should be several more sections, which are missing.
