ОписаниеFull model of steam tug 'Peter Joliffe', on base board. A 80 ton tug, built by Charles Hill & Sons at the Albion Dockyard, Bristol, c. 1940. Full size vessel used by Poole Harbour Commissioners throughout the Second World War, hence Admiralty grey colour. Named after Capt. Peter Joliffe, a hero of Poole, who recaptured a ketch from the French in 1769. Note: careful when handling this model as it is very heavy.
