Bristol and the New Poor Law
-
The 86th pamphlet in the Local History series published by the Bristol branch of the Historical Association. It seeks to explore a topic which has been neglected for good reason. The bulk of the records of two out of the three Poor Law Unions catering for Bristol's poor were destroyed in November 1940 during the war.
